Bill served in the United States Navy from 1976 until being Honorably Discharged in 1980. During his enlistment, Bill served as an Operation Specialist/Air Intercept Controller aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Independence. Bill was promoted to senior enlisted air controller and attained the enlisted rank of E-5.
From 1980 until 1985, Bill was employed at Corbett Plumbing and Heating. He successfully completed his five year apprenticeship program at Marple Vocational School in the HVAC and plumbing trades. He also attended the Folcroft Vocational School for air conditioning and refrigeration. During his employment at Corbett, Bill served as an apprentice and was promoted to a journeyman mechanic.
Bill joined Dolan Mechanical Inc. in 1985. He earned his master plumber’s license in 1986 and served as a plumber pipefitter mechanic until 1990. He was promoted to foreman in 1991 and performed these duties until 1998. During this period, Bill coordinated all aspects of plumbing and HVAC installations for his projects.
From 1999 to present, he has served as the Quality Control Manager/ Assurance & Project Superintendent for Dolan Mechanical. He is a member of Steamfitters’ Local 420. He has successfully supervised the construction contracts for The Department of Navy, United States Postal Services, Septa Transportation, various Federal projects, and many local school districts. Bill has 30 years experience in mechanical contracting.
